Heather Update/good AND bad news!
Good news: Had a nuchal translucency test done Friday (genetics testing via sonogram) and the baby is looking GREAT! Nice and thin space (a wider space can mean Downs Syndrome) Heart rate was 155 bpm and it was moving around like crazy. I'll be 12 weeks on Tuesday :)
BAD news: Thursday I was told that my position (Payroll Accountant) has been ELIMINATED due to cut backs. Can you say HFS??? It could be a blessing in disquise. I was more than likely going to stay home with the new baby come December and leave THEM. If that happened I would OWE them tuition that they have paid for to the tune of $16,000. SO, the good news is they are giving me a small severance and they are forgiving the tuition repayment. Nobody is going to hire me pregnant so I'll apply for unemployment for the FIRST time in my life, relax and enjoy this pregnancy, and clean out all of our closets at the house in preparation to get the house on the market. We plan on moving up to York, PA.
On a wls note. I've lost 4 pounds and I'm not even having morning sickness. My band is doing well and so far I have no need to have any fluid removed. As long as I get in enough calories the perinatalogist is fine with this. So, that's it. Oh, and we just got back from a nice long weekend in OC. I got a little sun, gotten over the shock of being laid off, and have decided to enjoy my early retirement!
Yes, this is a blessing in disguise!!
I was laid off about 2 months ago and it came as a huge shock..The reason was the same as yours... I cant say that I have a better job right now...it sucks..but I make more money.. that is more important then my happiness..at least until I can pay down my credit card bills..lol
I wish you the best in your pregnancy..and enjoy your time off..

Hey and how the heck are you? Glad you got to get away this weekend, I've been thinking about you. I did email you back on Saturday. :-) Like I had said to you, this is a blessing in disguise and will give you more time with Kylie before baby plus time to do other things you couldn't do because of work. So rest, relax and enjoy! I'm so glad to hear baby is doing well and that you are too! :-) WOOHOO on the four pounds! We'll have to get together soon. Maybe back down my way to Chesapeake Beach area? Kylie would love the sand and sun and water! Talk to you soon~

Hey Heather,
Good news on the NT and being 12 weeks.
Sorry, about the job. Maybe a blessing in disguise.
I envy you moving to York, Pa. We looked at new homes there a couple of years ago and wanted to buy, but I take care of my sister here and I couldn't move. Maybe, someday.
The three bedroom house we bought eight years ago seemed big compared to our condo. Now, with three babies on the way, it is getting smaller everyday.
I didn't have any morning sickness, either. I have gained 10 pounds so far. I worry that I am not gaining enough for three. I can't believe I am saying this, but I forget that I need to eat. I am trying to do two to three protein shakes a day, so that helps.
