Just out of the hospital

Well, most of you know I have been having Orthostatic Hypotension (low blood pressure upon standing and walking)  Yesterday, despite the medication the doctor was trying it got dangerously low, so they sent me the hospital and I got 3 IV bags of fluid and that did not help.  So they kept me for observation I got out today (sorry that is why I did not repond to any posts).  They started me on this drug 3 times a day Mitodrene it is suppose to help.  I have to take this in addition to the other drug I started.  Anyway, they told me to follow up with the cardiologist. I had something like this 6 years ago after surgery but nothing this bad!!!  This  thing has really got me down in the dumps, so please help keep me going with all kind words and support it helps alot. I am not one to let anything get me down.  I am hoping and praying it resolves.  On Monday, I have my 2nd post op appointment with the surgeon Dr. Averbach, he is also not sure what is occuring.  On Wednesday, I see the Cardilogist just to be on the safe side and Friday with PCP.  Will keep you posted.  Thanks for listening.

I can relate with the post-op madness. This is just a little bump in the road and they will get things smothed out. Stay positive and do everything they tell you.  This will work out in the end.  Just give it a couple more weeks.  We can go through some odd stuff at times.  Please keep us posted.

Hugs Kristen

Thanks Kristen, I am just not a patient person, but I will have to learn to be.  I have to keep telling myself  this will get resolved and yes staying positive is the hard part, so a reminder is always good now an then!  Thank you so much!!!  Have a wonderful day!

Terri, I am sorry you are still struggling with the low blood pressure.  I hope they get to control it for you soon.  Just know that this shall soon pass and you will be celebrating your new life.  I had major strugles for the 1st 2 months post op and there were times when I cried and felt like it will never get better but it did.   Take care and call me if you need to talk. hugs
