Do any of you know if Kaiser will pay for plastic surgery after the WLS?  Did anyone here ever get approval for plastic surgery through Kaiser?

Hi Kathleen,  I have Kaiser and I also work for them. I had GBS two years ago. Kaiser can be very specific and strict in pre-authorizing plastic surgery. In order to be approved, you must have documented skin conditions that are a direct result of excess skin due to the weight loss from GBS. Skin rashes, excessive body odors skin infections to name a few. This must be documented over a period of about a year before Kaiser will consider approval for plastic surgery.  I hope this information is helpful. If you want more info just drop me a line. coG627
