Why do people intentionally feed on negativity?

I don't have anything to do here at work so I was trying to find something entertaining on the OH boards and started reading the rants and raves forum. Holy Moly. These people are cutthroat. It actually made me a little nauseous from all the negativity. I just don't understand why people do that. It's like they need to feel bad. I used to be that way although I didn't tend to be mean to others. i want to move on from that so i am never going back there. yuck, i need to take a shower!

LOL I felt the same a couple of months ago when I went there and read their posts. lol Join sparkpeople.com and enjoy reading stuff from there.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
Those that mind don't matter, and those that matter don't mind.

I think some people thrive on negativity and the misery of others.  It makes them feel better about themselves. Just my opinion.

I agree about this.  It feels like you need to wash away the filthy stain it leaves on your soul from reading it.  The folks there still have to elarn new ways to cope with anger without food...well we all do, but they choose to argue about petty minutia. IT'S TOXIC
