2nd day post opp!
Well, i did it! I got banded on tuesday. It's weird, knowing that it's in there. Everything went pretty much as expected. Well, they had a hard time getting the IV in me and my surgery started 4 hours late. By then i was ready to go home!! But then they gave me some nitris and that was all she wrote. 
I guess i was in surgery about 1.5 hours and in recovery for about 2 hours, including the time to get the upper GI 
I woke up feeling very cold and nausious. The nurse fixed that right away with blankets and meds. I felt some pain too but not unbearible.
I left the hospital about 11am yesterday and doing ok. Lots of gas pains and pain from procedure, but again, not unbearible. I"m trying to walk and get my liquids as much as possible. I was able to take in an 8oz shake twice in hospital. It's a little harder now that the gas pains have set in. I'm supposed to take a prilosect today but i'm afraid to. I'm still not ready to take anything other than liquids.
The hardest part is getting up and down. Sitting still is fine. I haven't even taken and pain meds today. 
I'm glad that my counterparts are doing well too!
