Sxysenorita's Surgery Today, June 10th

So Kathy, AKA Sxysenorita, should be under the knife as we speak. She said her RNY was scheduled for 10:45 at GBMC.... but those of us who've had surgery at GBMC know the times don't always go as planned! (Mine was behind by like three hours! )

I asked Kathy to have someone from her family call/text me when she's out of surgery. I'm planning on dropping by on my way home from work to pay her a little visit and see how much she's looped up on pain meds

If anyone has a special message to Kathy, post it in here and I can print out the thread before I leave for the day!

Hi Allison, Thanks for the update!   Congratulations and tell Kathy to take it slow and be diligent when it comes to walking as soon as she can.   Keep us posted on the board, we all care!

So I got to GBMC around 5:00 and the woman at the info desk said Kathy was in recovery. So I went up to the surgery/recovery floor and I asked the woman behind the desk if I could go see her. She asked if I was family... I lied and said I was a "close, family friend" so she took me back to see Kathy. I got there and met Kathy's mom - who looks just like her and is so sweet!

Long story short, I didn't get to see Kathy in her room by 6:30 and I had to leave. Her mom is spending the night with her so I'm sure everything will be fine. Kathy seemed to be doing great when I saw her for those 20 mins in the recovery area.

Allison Thank you for the update, I will keep Kathy in my prayers.  WOW we have a lot of new losers coming in, EVERYONE move your buns over. Hugs Kristen
