approval frustrations
I am so frustrated with this process. I have completed 11 months supervised weight loss. Not much lost (25lbs.) However, now that it is finally time to submit paperwork, I have to have a pulmonary consult. Why didn't the doctor say it 6 months ago. I feel the my life is being put on hold longer than it needs to be. Any survivors out there?
IM A SURVIVOR..I submitted my paperwork on May 8th...Didnt have to have any other tests..thank god..but was told by the insurance company 2 weeks later that no paperwork was submitted...then they said I was missing a medical letter of consent by my PCP..which wasnt on the list of things needed..which set me back a few days...all in all I was approved on June 3rd...Keep communicating with both the doctors office and insurance company if you can..Make them aware you are on point and know what was given,needed...etc...It was a slow process for me...but I made it through without going postal... :)
I too am a SURVIVOR! I actually had to go thru the approval process twice... for two different procedures. But thank good ness, the gals at Dr. Singh's office are the best and had everything necessary for the approval to go thru quickly. The sleeve procedure was approved in less than 24 hours! Keep up on everything once the paperwork is submitted. Call the insuance company the day you know it is submitted and then every few days, just give a quick call for your status. It will all work out. Best of luck! Deb
