TGIF all!!!!  It feels like it's been a looooooong week!!  I'm so glad it's over!!!  As Darla posted, we saw Toni last night - OMG!! she looks amazing!!!!  She's so grateful for all the support and well wishes, and should be released sometime this a.m. Today, I'm grateful for: 1.  Car washes that stay open late - Yesterday, when I came out of work, there was a robin's nest ALL over my car!!  Gross!!!  That's what I get for parking under a tree!!!  I figure what happened was, the boy bird was honest with the girl bird about something - perhaps he stood her up or didn't call when he said he would, with no explanation - and she'd had enough!!!  That's my take on it anyway!!  Sadly, there was also a scrambled egg on the trunk and I figured it would bake right into the car in today's heat, so through the car wash I went at 9:30 last night!!! 2.  Music - I read last night that Journey has a new front man and a new CD coming out, with 11 classic Journey songs and 11 new songs.  For me, there will NEVER be anyone like Steve Perry, but I'm anxious to listen to it!! 3.  The most important of all - 12 years, on Friday, June 7, 1996 at 8:13, Kaitlyn Renee was born, weighing 8 lbs., 13 oz, and measuring 21-1/2" long!!!  What a huge bald baby girl we got that night!!!  I remember waiting in the waiting room after they'd taken my SIL in to have a c-section.  When Gary came in to let us know that our babydoll was here, Mom almost knocked him over.  We were jumping, laughing, screaming and crying!!!  You'd think it was the Messiah!!!!!!!!!!!!  LOL!!!!  I was the very first one to hold her, and I immediately took off her hat to see if she had her (I wanted her to be bald).  Unfortunately for her, she stayed bald until she was at least 2, prompting everyone to say, "What's his name?" even when she was dressed in pink.  K's also my Godchild, and is one of the two greatest gifts to ever bless our family.  It's been awesome watching her grow and trying to help guide her.  She is an awesome, straight-A student and an accomplished artist and musician.  I can't wait to see the fantastic woman she'll become and I feel SO lucky to have had a hand in raising her.  Her brother would disagree and say she's not all that, but that's what brothers are supposed to say, right?  LOL!!!  So - Happy 12th Birthday to my sweet K!!!!  We have celebrations planned all day tomorrow and loads of gifts - it's good to be Kaity!!!!! Thanks for indulging me in yet another story of my family!! Have a great weekend everyone!!!  To all of you going to Cira's luncheon on Sunday, I'll see you there.  If anyone needs my cell #, pm me!! My three things? (1)  I only have four more days to go until my RNY.  I've waited for this for so long.  (2)  Today is, I think, my last day at work for three weeks while I'm out recouperating from surgery.  I can't wait to get away from this place for awhile.   Yahooooooooooo!  (3)  My husband is staying home today to do yardwork, do laundry, clean the bathrooms, and get the house in order so that my last weekend prior to surgery is not filled with housework.  Instead, we get to play!  and let me toss in just one more: (4)  I'm going to break in my new wonderful blender (my mother's day present) with some margaritas tonight.

1) I started my Welbutrin today and now maybe I can focus a little better.  I am thinking positive about this, I need to find a new path. 2) I am going today to pick up my running number and chip, I am so excited and I think that speaks volumes.  If you had told me a year ago that I would be doing this, I would have laughed on the floor. 3) Last day of school, So we are going to celebrate and take Gabriella to see Kong Fu Panda, she is going to be so happy.  I am so proud of my little girl.  SHE IS GOING TO SECOND GRADE! WOOT! Everyone Enjoy your day! Hugs Kristen

1. I get to go back to work next week. I've been out for 3 weeks now and I'm going batty! I was so not meant to be a housewife.

2. I've lost 14 lbs on my pre-op diet. Fortunately for me, losing weight was never the problem, keeping if off was the hard part.

3. Chantix. My day to quit smoking is Monday and I can already tell that the Chantix is working.

1 - That I finally got this thing to accept my posts! It would not let me for some reason yesterday; 2 - That it is Friday! This is the first time that I have come up for air all day. It did not help that the car wouldn't start this AM. But that is all fixed now and it was something small for a change. 3 - That it is 1 day until my big adventure on Saturday. I am taking an Intro to Kayaking Course on Saturday. This is something I have never done before. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Let's see ... 1) that it's Friday .. AND payday!!!  After being on vacation for almost 2 weeks then some medical time, this is my first full week back in the office since the middle of May and OMG it was a LONNNNNNG week. 2) that some of the things that I have going here in the office are going somewhat smoothly (I have a physical location / staff move that must be accomplished by Wednesday that the details were not provided until Wednesday afternoon and they involve outside coordination that may be tough to get on two days notice).  At least the IT portion might work out! 3) that Mr Mo will be home this afternoon from being out of town a couple of days, and I've gotten over my need to want to strangle him .. at least at the moment .. 4) that I am starting to feel les*****y from the whole kidney stone thing and the lithotripsy ... no pain pill since I went home so miserable on Tuesday. Hugs, Mo P.S.  Yes .. I can count . and that was 4 .

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!
