Missed the support group at St. Agnes...
I left home with all intentions of going to Baltimore for the support group. of course hubby was having a fit since the weather was supposed to get really bad. But, I needed to go so I started out. I got to Cambridge (about 40 minutes from home) and I could see the skies getting darker and darker to the west of me. Then the storm hit! With a vengence. I didn't think that I would be able to drive across that bridge in that storm so I called hubby and told him I was turning around and coming home.
So, how was the meeting? Did the speaker offer any great words of wisdom to everyone? Looking forward to the meeting in July now. Deb

I did not know you live on the eastern shore, I live on Kent Island and Lisa (justthebeginning) lives in Cambridge. I had all intentions of going but as you already stated the storm**** really bad and yes the closer you got to the bay bridge the worse they became. Neil probably went he lives close to the hospital perhaps, he will see this post and let us know what happened or even Brandi. I will PM Neil and see what I find out.
Have a great day!!
Next time you go to a support group meeting let me know. There is one in Seaford also, we can carpool. That storm was terrible. It's actually a good thing that you didn't go past Cambridge. On my way home from work yesterday in Easton. There were 3 car accidents in a row in Trappe and a tree down over RT 50 and they were diverting traffic.
I think Terri (TheresaMarie) was going to post to see if there were other support groups on the Eastern shore. Do you know of any? Maybe we can make up our own?

I'm glad that you didn't go past Cambridge. Roads were bad and there were 3 accidents in Trappe and a tree on some power lines and across RT 50. Do you know of any support groups on the shore? I know there's one in Seaford. Next time you are going to one, let me know and I'll be more than happy to drive with you. I think Terri (TheresaMarie) may also want to come.

I have been toying with the idea of starting one. I don't live that far from Cambridge so I thought that would be a good place to have a meeting. I also attend one in Laurel DE on the 3rd Thursday of the month. It is a new group with about 10 people in it. Let me know what everyone thinks about getting a group in the Cambridge area. We could meet at a local church somewhere...they usually let groups like ours meet for free.
