Hey all!!  Wow!  Some storms yesterday and last night!!!  Hope no one sustained any injuries or damages.  What a mess all around the State! Okay, so today, I'm grateful for: 1.  Dunkin Donuts Iced Tea - YUM!!! 2.  I am SO glad that the decision has been made for the Democratic candidate for president.  I'm not even a little political, local politics have made my job a living hell, so I'm not a big fan.  But I was getting SO sick of listening to Clinton and Obama EVERY time I turned on the news.  I just don't care.  Sorry, I know I should, but I don't.  I'm sorry, but I'm more concerned that we still have troops fighting a war in which we should have no part (let everyone in the Middle East kill each other - whomever's left standing wins!), and I'm more concerned that several years after Katrina, New Orleans is still partly a shambles and there are STILL people living in FEMA trailers.  Let's concentrate on the real issues, okay?  And if you noticed, I didn't state my opinions on the political candidates, I don't think it's a good idea to discuss politics, but I am SO glad at least this part is done.   3.  I'm grateful that, for all  my *****ing about the lack of a decent man (and ******) in my life, that I DO have a good life.  I have a wonderful family (that I'd happily sell at times), and great, long-lasting friendships, both women and men whom I can count on for ANYTHING. I'll cheat and add #4. 4.  I'm grateful that my boss is obviously God.  Who knew I'd have such a close connection? Have a great day!!! Tia

Good Morning all 1.  That the electricity was on this morning when I got to work:  yesterday       we had no phones or fax until 10:30  then at 3;30 we lost all power-       no phones- no computers - no lights  no nothing LOL 2.   Ditto Tia's # 2 :  It over Hilary: give up gracefully 3.   Stealing Tia's # 3 as well:   while a man would be nice I have family and friends       who love me ;  job security.  Who can really ask for more?

this has nothing to do with the thread but i notice sometimes you post that you exercise three hours at a time. how do you do that and how often a week do you do that?

Not sure if it was me you were asking but since I am crazy enough to exercise three hours at a time I am going to answer. I usually do 45 minutes to  an hour  @ 3 miles per hour  on the treadmill & I do two or three  circuts of the weight machines,  ( 3-4 times a week) I take a one hour pilates reformer class each week. Then I take a water pilates class twice a week and  a water aerobic class twice a week (1 hour each) I occasionaly take a class in the pool on Saturdays called Sea Sculpt  .  This is  using a dumbbell  in the pool. Yep thats about it:  A GYM RAT is  what I am

I hear you on the polictical thing!! I am so sick of the depressing news in general. Most days I don't even turn on the TV in the morning like I use to.   My three things let me see.. ummm, well 1) Jennifer responded to my post and helped me with my weight loss ticker and I was able to update it-  I know it's a little things but it made me happy! 2) That I did not lose power or anything else in the storm last night I usually get the hit hard as I live a block from the Bay.  3) I am determined to get out of the house today!!! Hope everyone has a great day!!  The sun is out!

Hey everyone. Yesterday was a great day for me. I am still waiting to get the actual offer from my new employer but at this point, i don't care. i know it will work out. I am grateful for: 1. I didn't eat anything badly yesterday. I almost did in the evening because I hadn't eaten enough so my hunger was not under control. but instead of going to mcdonalds or eating ice cream, i went home and made a protein shake with the whey gourmet stuff i just got. it was really good. 2. that even though my hubby is leaving friday for the weekend, i have a jam packed weekend. saturday i am going to a cat show to help adopt out some cats at the rescue i volunteer for. www.luckycatrescue.com and sunday i get to meet all you guys. tia, how many people are coming? 3. although i didn't get to exercise much yesterday (the storm closed the pool at bally's in white marsh) i did walk many times and i am going to swim tonight. the fact that i want to swim is something to be grateful for. the further away from carbs (unhealthy ones) i get, the more i want to exercise.  4. I am grateful for this ipod i got. i put a awesome book that brings the teachings of my own therapist into focus and allows me to listen to it over and over again. i have a thick skull but i am finally getting it.

Good morning to all! 1.  I'm happy that we had no damage from the terrible storms yesterday and last night. 2.  Looking forward to the trip to NYC that a friend and I have just planned.  I love NY! 3.  That I was able to get to the YMCA last night and walk for 40 minutes on the treadmill.  Going swimming tonight.  Weightloss is slow, but I think I've lost 13.5 lbs since surger on the 20th.  Not as good as some people who have posted on this board, but at least I'm loosing and not gaining.
