surgery and bladder infection

I have surgery on June 12 and just started an antibiotic for a bladder infection, can I still have surgery?

Hi there!  You should probably talk to your surgeon.  They really need to know about those things because it could definitely affect the outcome of your surgery and not in a good way.  They may have to postpone it until it's cleared up but please check with your surgeon first!

I agree with Aaron and Tia call Dr. A's office.   I had a gland infection and a bladder infection all within one month of my surgery. I was on a heavy dose of  augmentin up until 7 days before surgery. Call Dr. Averbach's office and if you can't get him try to talk with Cathy she will know. I would do it as soon as possible.  Hugs  Terri
