Hi everyone!! Before I get into this, please send good thoughts and prayers out to Antoinette, whose surgery is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. today at GBMC.  Sadly, she didn't have anyone to stay at the hospital while she's in surgery, so I asked her to ask Dr. Moen if he would be willing to call my cell to at least let me knnow she's okay.  If he does that, I, in turn, will let you know.  I'm going to try to get up to GBMC tomorrow night to see her.  Anyone wishing to join me is welcome. Today I'm grateful for: 1.  Claritin!!!  My seasonal allergies are HORRIBLE this year, and this makes me less inclined to want to scratch the roof of my mouth with a steak knife!!! 2.  Rain - Maybe it'll clear the air a bit!  Hopefully, it'll rain some more today, because I don't think they'd be willing to cancel the softball game because the scorekeeper is tired!!! 3.  That my boss is going to be in late today.  For the most part, he's a nice man, but lately, he's said some things that have made me want to pull my hair out.  His latest?  He told me that before he leaves, he's going to break me of the habit I have of always speaking my mind!!!  GRRR!!! Yeah, right, good luck with THAT!!!  Many have tried, all have failed.  I think because he's 70 years old, he feels like he can say whatever he wants!!!  GRRRR!!! Hope everyone has a great day!! Tia

I'm thankful for: 1)That I don't have allergies.  I feel for you Tia!  I remember not to long ago when my car was covered in pollen and while it didn't affect me, I know it was causing havoc for alot of other people. 2)That is Wednesday (Hump Day).  This weeke seems to be dragging....urghhhhhhhh 3)That the cable guy will be at my house this afternoon.  For some reason, my internet, cable and phone all went out yesterday.  My kids drove me crazy last night because they had nothing to do...lol   Have a great day yall! Hey T!!! I'm sorry we haven't had a chance to "talk," much lately!!  So.........have you decided on the type of surgery? I bet your girls were driving you nuts!!!  Me, I'd be happy without a tv, just give me a good book.  Of course, that usually leads to a good nap, too!!!  LOL!!! Tia

Hey Tia!!  I know, I feel like your neglecting me...lmao  As for the surgery, I was feeling strong about the Lapband and did more research, and now I'm feeling strong about the RNY.  All I know is that I'm attending the support group up at St. Agnes with DVR for both Lapband and RNY this month.  And my last appointment with him is June 26, 2008.  Guess I will have to make up my mind by then, yeah.... Hey Darla - Unfortunately, I don't have her last name; I'll check with Cira and let you know.  I'm going to go up tomorrow night, I remember that first night, I didn't want to see ANYONE.  I'm not sure Dr. Mo will call since I'm NOT family.

I'll keep you posted.

terri, i hope you start feeling better soon. I can tell it's been a struggle since you got the surgery. i promise you it will get better. if you need someone to stop by and visit, let me know. I can always make time for a fellow italian . just remember, pasta is off the menu but not the tomato sauce. it sure tastes good on every protein except fish! hey maybe i should try that too. good luck nicole

Nicole,  Thanks for the  offer I might ditto here about the italian we can always visualize a meal at swank Frank Sinatra music playing Italian Restaurant!  but we need to be sure to visualize also what  all those wonderful italian meals left us with alot of extra pounds.  Thanks for the tip on the sauce, I love tomato sauce !!!  As I am sure you know. Take Care.
