I called the surgeons office to get an update on the status....they called me back and said that the insurance company never received the paperwork (which they submitted)..which is a damn lie..because I have been in contact with the insurance company jumping the hoops that they have thrown at me in regards to "missing forms"...Im pissed...so they resubmitted everything again today..UGH

Heather Call them everyday 2-3 times a day, they work for you!  Kick some butt!  When you get no where, "I want to talk to your boss", kicks them in the ass every time.  I am sorry you have to go through all this but I have been there too.  Stay positive and get mad at them! Hugs Kristen

Sorry- I hope that you can get the missing forms in quick. I would call and get the specifics of what is missing and make sure that they get it asap.

Hi Heather. Sorry about the problems you are having with the doctor's office. I didn't have any of those issues with them. I had the reverse: the insurance company said they hadn't rec'd the paperwork, and Dr. Averbach's staff told me they had submitted everything. I don't know why this BS game goes on between the doctors' offices and the insurance companies goes on! It's a big blame game, and unfortunately, the patient is always stuck in the middle. Hang in there and stay on everyone involved! Katherine

Well maybe i misworded it..because that is what happened to me...I have been in contact with both the INS and DR's office. I submitted the paperwork to the Dr's office, on May 8th...A week later I received an email from Heather saying the INS company called and said they were missing the Dr's letter of consent..I got that the next day, faxed it to the Dr's office, Heather wasnt there..So I called the INS, talked with a nurse on the pre-auth board and faxed the letter to her...She said, well, thats it...Ill call your surgeon when we get the approval...I called last Thusday and the INS said it was still pending approval, I called yesterday and the INS company said it was still pending..I called the Doctor's office and they called me back and said the INS said they didnt have any paperwork...NOW, Im back to the waiting game....again!
