I officially was added on to my bf's insurance as a domestic partner. Woohoo!  I have been checking the Great-West site every day for the past week to see if I was listed under his coverage and today I finally am!  June 11th is going to be a big day for me. I have my psych eval,  appointment with Dr. Singh and then an appointment with the nutrionist, one right after another.  I have everything else in order that Great-West requires so hopefully I will have an approval very quickly after. I am so excited, yet scared to death at the same time. lol  Tina

Congrats Tina.  As the domestic partner, does that mean you have to do all the cleaning - that would suck You'll really like Dr. Singh - he's wonderful person and skilled surgeon.  I really like his office staff as well.    Anyhoo, I'm almost as funny as Tia today..

I asked Dave if instead of a ring do I get an apron?

Hey Tina - Sometimes, I let my friends borrow my twisted sense of humor!!  As you can see, today was Ellen's turn!!!!  LOL!!! I'm so glad to hear that things are progressing for you!!!!  I'm glad your ducks are in a row - they need to be for this journey. Fasten your seatbelt, honey, you are in for the ride of your life.  But there's plenty of room in this rollercoaster car, so please join in often!!!! Hugs, Tia

Congrats, Tina. You'll really like Dr. Singh. I was so nervous when I went for my consult with him, but he put me at ease right away. He's got a great sense of humor, but he doesn't sugar coat, which I appreciate.

Arlene, the dietician, is wonderful. I met with her yesterday. Between my years of researching and the time I've spent talking to post-op's here on the forums, I thought I pretty much knew the basics, but she definitely taught me things that I didn't know.

I got for my psych eval with Bea the day before you go, so I'll let you know how that goes. Everyone at their practice has been super nice and helpful, though, so I only expect the same from her.

I'm excited and scared at the the same time as well. If you ever wanna chat, let me know. We seem pretty close as far as out progress goes.
