Insurance Help Please

I have a couple of quesions - 

1. Does anyone have experience with Coventry of Delaware in Maryland? I found a few posts but none with cir****tances that match mine - either different plan or coverage. Do they always require six months supervised weight loss?

2. If your insurance denies you, can you get new isurance on your own or will the obesity be an excluded pre-existing condition?

I have Coventry of Delaware and I'm in Maryland.  Yes they did cover it.  I go tomorrow.  I did have to have 6 months of supervised / documented diet.  I went to my PCP and she was more than glad to see me once a month and discuss dieting options, exercise, etc and document.  I followed the direction of the surgeon and got all the required testing and documentation.  Once they submitted the paperwork I had an approval within a week.  I actually think it was 4 days.  I thought they were great.  At first it seemed so long to have to wait, but time passes quickly and it was good for me to actually research and get in my head what has to be done after surgery.
