Tia, et. al.... Have you heard that Dr. Von Reuden is joining Dr. Averbach's practice in Catonsville (hospital = St. Agnes in Baltimore)?  Saw the notice in Dr. Averbach's office last week.  I think it's great as so many of us have used one or the other surgeon.  They both seem to be great (I know Dr.  Averbach is...was my surgeon). Just wanted to pass it on...i may be late...may have been on the forum already.  In case it hasn't...here is new info.

Thanks for the reminder, Susan!!!  They sent letters to his existing patients, and I hadn't seen him in so long, it prompted me to make my 3 year follow-up appt.  This man is a God to me.  I love him.  Well, I'm sure his wife wouldn't like that, but you know what I mean!!!  And actually, she's such a sweetheart, I love her, too!!! Thanks, Tia

Hi there, I had no idea. But I think Dr. Averbach is great so that is wonderful to hear.  Thanks for sharing.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Averbach did my surgery (VSG) and i think he is grerat.   He also has a wonderful staff that is always there whe you need them.  I have heard, from many people on this forum, that Dr. Von Reuden is wonderful as well.  I think they will be great together.  I'm so glad that they are joining forces.

I saw Dr. von Rueden last week for my 6 month post op. He is in a temporary office at 3421 Benson Ave. close to St. Agnes. He said that he would be moving to the same office where Dr. Averbach is in the future. (I guess there are some logistical things to work out before then.) He also mentioned holding a support group on May 30th in St. Agnes Hospital, Auditorium A.  His office phone is 410-368-3003. Sloane and Rose followed him and I saw both of them during my visit.
