Hey all - I've been talking to a lot of pre and post-ops, and it's clear that no matter what your status, we all still need support and to be accountable.  So everyday, I will post what's likely to be in my feed bag for that day.  Please feel free to join us - we can also share recipes here if you like.  If no one's interested, I'll let the post die, but I think it can benefit all of us!!!  Feel free to post throughout the day as you eat - sometimes, it's eye opening to see what you've eaten in writing!! Tia Monday's Feed Bag: B - Greek yogurt (surprise), cherries sweetened with Splenda, Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal L - Hmmm.....I brought hard boiled eggs, but will only eat the whites as egg yolks make me , 2% cheese, fresh salsa and some chicken salad.  Didn't know what I would feel like eating, so I just brought it all. D - On the run - probably a McD's grilled honey mustard chicken snack wrap Fluids - Already had: 44 oz. of coffee (hey, you didn't think I was this perky on my own, didja??, 33.8 oz. of water, and 16.9 oz. of diet iced tea. Post away!!! Tia

Please don't call it a FEEDBAG.  Makes me feel like a horse.  Feedbags are for horses, right? B - 4 oz of cottage cheese with pinapple = 11 gms of protein. L - not sure, but probably colby/jack cheese sticks (1 oz)  with cherry tomatoes (3) = 7 gms of protein or 14 gms if i have two cheese sticks. D - ground sirloin made with canned chopped tomatoes and seasoning and veggies (sorta like a thicker speghetti sauce or thicker sloppy joe) (2 oz) = 14 gms protein. Am drinking water all day...cannot get it down all at one time or in large quantites.  For snakcs, usually drink milk (4 oz) mixed with Matrix whey protein (orange cream)  = total 15.5 gms protein and soup (chicken noodle- 6 oz) mixed with Pro Cel whey protein = 11 gms protein. I am 8 weeks out from surgery.

Since I do not know what I will eat today I can only post my breakfast which is amazingly what Tia just ate. B - Greek yogurt, dark cherries sweetened with splenda and kashi go crunch cereal. Will post at the end of the day with the remaining menu.

Kim - LOL!!!  Great minds think alike!!!  I'd be lost without my Greek yogurt.  Now if I could just find a way to have it delivered by a hot Greek guy, I'd be set!!!! Tia

LOL!!!  Sorry Susan - I just thought it was a catchy title!!! Don't worry - your ability to drink larger quantities of water quickly will happen over time.  Just keep concentrating on sipping all day and getting your protein in!  Sounds like you're on the right track! Tia

Neighhhhhhhhhhhh is that how a horse sounds like?  LOL Anyway can I suggest something? Can you do the list of what we ate the day prior? because I don't know what I am eating for today until the time comes.  I think the feedback on this thread would work better that way.  What ya think?

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
