You're not going to believe this

If everything went smoothly I would really be worried, because nothing in my life usually goes smoothly.  I just received a call from Memorial Hospital in Easton where I had all of my pre-op testing done telling me that they have LOST part of my upper gi study.  She explained that they would repeat the procedure at no charge.  I have to be there on Monday morning to repeat.  She also said that I may have to do a bowl prep for the surgery now.  I've tried to call Dr. K's office to make sure that this isn't going to affect Tuesday's date.  Okay that's one ~ bring it on.  Nothing is going to stop me from having this surgery.  I'll climb to the highest mountain top if necessary!!!!!

NUTS!!!  Okay, girlie - take a deep breath.  You have the right attitude - anything you have to do is just a means to an end.  The bowel prep wasn't great, but it wasn't too bad - for me, the stuff I drank was like very salty Sprite, kind of gaggy, but you do what you gotta!!! Of course, I'd be pretty ticked at their incompetence, but try to focus on just getting it done. Hang in there!!! Tia

Tia:  Your the best.  YUCKY, YUCKY OOOOOOUUUU!  I just want to get confirmation that this won't postpone surgery for any reason.  Why do people always wait until the last minute?

Because to them, it's just test results and routine stuff.  To you, it's your LIFE!!!!!  It's not important to them.  Sad, but true. You have my number, if you need me to yank you off a ledge, call me. TRY to relax and have a good weekend!!! Tia

Darn I hate when we encounters these types of bumps in our roads. Thank goodness you can get it done on Monday. Sorry you have to re do it tho.   As for the bowel prep I had the same one Tia had.  Fleets phospho soda I dranked it with chasing it down with sprite.  Just prepare to be in the bathroom all day long the day before your surgery. Best of luck Lisa!

Cira:  That's what we'll call it:  a bump in the road, not a road block.  I'm going to have faith that after this all will be well and the sugery will go as planned.  I haven't really eaten anything for the past 2 weeks so I'm hoping it won't be that bad. (Probably wishful thinking)  Thanks for your well-wishes!!!

Hi Lisa, I am sorry you they lost  your information.  At least they called you today to get you in Monday to repeat it.  I would raise the roof when I go there.   I don't know if I should worry or consider myself lucky that I do not need to do a bowel prep.  Apparently both Tia and Cia had to have one too.  iI also am having a little set back, yesterday I started with the symptoms of another bladder infection, I am kind afraid to go to the doctors with it, because they may try to postpone surgery.  So I am self medicating, I have some prescription meds left from before, the pill that helps the frequency feeling but turns your pee yellow and some Augmentin, that they use to treat infections, so I though I would take the stuff over the weekend I started yesterday, if it gets worse I will be forced to go  on Monday.  Hang in there, and keep us posted. You have my number call me anytime.   Terri
