Whoa Nelly - Things are picking up

Nadja called from Dr. Kligman's office and left a message with the dates for my appointments.   On the 27th, I go and have my abdomenal and something else on May 27th Then, I go for my bloodwork and seminar on May 30th Then, I have an appointment with Dr. Kligman on June 4th And finally, my surgery is on June 10th.   I'm glad to now know something so I can make arrangements for my parents who are from Arkansas and fo transporttion arrangements to get to the appointments.   I'm excited but aso have this scared feeling as well.  It's kind of like all the months of planing and anticipation are coming to reality in T-three weeks.   Becuase my job deals with students, I'm trying to get as much work done with them aheadf time.  They are coming May 31st and June 1st to check into the dorm.  The orientation will be on June 2nd and 3rd.  I'm hoping that they can be self sufficient by the first week, so I can go to surgery knowing they are setttled into their internships.  I know they sound like babies, but you wouldn't believe some of the issues we deal with when they come.  Luckily, I only have 9 I have responsibility for.  The rest  am just available for in case they have issues relating to a disability we didn't know about. 

Hey Deena:  Glad to hear from you.  The next few weeks will go so fast, your head will spin.  I'm just 4 days away right now.  What to expect on the 27th:  abdominal ultra sound, chest x-ray and, probably upper GI - no pain or worry for any of them except for the stuff you have to drink during the upper gi (YUCK).  On the 30th, they'll take about 14 vials of blood (DR K is very thorough) and then you'll see Mary Beth for your seminar.  Expect a quiz.  She won't go over the answers with you then but they will when you go to see Dr K on the 4th.  Sounds like you've got enough going on that you won't have any idle time to worry, but try to keep you mind off the worries and on the final product.  YEAH for you. 

Hey Deena - Wow!!!  You are definitely on the WLS merry-go-round!!!!  It'll all be worth it, and June 10 will be here before you know it!!! Good luck!! Tia

That is fantastic!!  Congrats on your surgery date!!  It will be here before you know it. I am sure you will have everything in place when it is time for you to have your surgery. I want to wish you all the best. hugs, Cira
