My Update..a small and maybe a larger setback

So, my paperwork was submitted last week and I received a voice mail yesterday from Dr. Averbach's office stating that I was missing a letter written by my PCP for medical clearance and the insurance company wanted to know how long I was on Fen-Phen...HUH?!? To my knowledge, Ive never taken it..hell, maybe they know something I dont....this wasnt on my list of prerequistes , so that kinda irked me a little bit..

I went and got the letter from my Dr..and then Satan...(oh I mean my wonderful dear husband) tells me that we will be switching insurances in June...WTF!!! I tried to call Heather at Dr. Averbach's office to find out if I should put things on hold until then, but she wasnt in the office..so Ill try back again tomorrow..because no one else seems to know anything...

Hi I am so sorry to hear you are having problems.  I too am a patient of Dr. Avebach's however, I was fortunate and did not have any problems.  I don't know what insurance company you currently have.  It is unfortunate that now is the time your husband chose to change insurance companies.  I work for the state and have MDIPA and they are great I got my approval within one day pending the psych report etc.   Try to deal with the insurance companies directly keep a record of names and dates.  Not to add further misery but as you know Heather is new, the lady before her was very seasoned at her job.  You can also call Cathy she is very familiar with Insurance companies.   I take it this process has taken a long time.   If there is anything I can do to help please let me know.  TERRI

Hang in there, Heather.  Yes, they are bumps, and yes, you will get over them, and you know we're here to help, if only to let you vent. Crossing fingers for you!
