What's the hardest thing for you?
ABOUT WLS? Get your minds out of the gutter, you pervs!!! LOL!!!!!!
Anyway, I was just wondering about this. It might provide some interesting perspective to pre-ops and newer post-ops.
So tell me - what's your biggest challenge?
For me, it's not drinking for 30 minutes after I eat. I can deal with the not drinking during, but man, the after KILLS me!!!!! Thank God I discovered s/f Icebreakers Sours (sold near the gum at checkout). These things have SAVED my life!!!
I HATE, HATE, HATE not drinking immediately after to wash stuff down. But that's precisely what they DON'T want, so I'm a good girl!!!
Tag - you're it!!!! Come play with me!!!

For me- it is the not drinking WITH. I love my food hot and spicey, BUT it has been hard to eat foods that I like, because now without a drink, or sourcream, or ranch, the food is just to spicey.
Other than that, the mental part of being patient. I want this done like yesterday! LOL, I feel like SO much of my life right now focuses on what I am eating, drinking etc. So much thought goes into my food schedule, that I just feel like not eating sometimes. It would just be easier than planning all this out every day.
Seriously some one needs to write a book that has all this fiqured out already. I am trying so hard to get in all my nutrients and protein, without going overboard on calories and fat, then there is the tring to squeeze it into 3 meals and a snack, not too much so that you don't overload that grouchy pouchy. Ughh just thinking about it stresses me.

Hey Dee!!!!
It's funny, because I just pm'd Aaron, who's only about a week out and had been lamenting that it seemed so hard to get everything in. So I told him what I ate/drank so far today, and now, I'll share with you.
60 oz. coffee w/Splenda and skim milk
80 oz. water
40 oz. diet iced tea
(I still have a huge iced coffee and 4 - 20 oz. bottles of water left and I WILL drink that between now and 5)
B - 5 oz. Greek yogurt with Splenda, strawberries and Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal
L - Fruity chicken salad
D - On the go, but probably a grilled chicken snack wrap from McD's (softball tonight). Actually, what I do is order two, eat most of one and then the chicken out of the other.
Tia's special hint - Hidden Valley Light Ranch dressing is a GREAT lube!!! So is salsa. Also, Greek yogurt tastes like sour cream, so use it like that on your hot and spicy food - that's what I do!!
If you need any help, let me know. But trust me, IT GETS BETTER AND EASIER AND YOU WON'T EVEN HAVE TO THINK AFTER A WHILE!!!!

I tried cherry coke zero and I loved it. I never liked the regular cherry coke so that was weird that I really like it. I have only sipped soda a few times after surgery. like 2 ounces the most at a time and I really don't desire it like I used to before surgery,. I was a pepsiholic it is amazing when I really do not crave soda anymore.
But I did have like 3 ounces of the chery coke zero and it was good flat......

For me is the 30 minute wait after the meal. Sometimes I have to take a sip to push down the food some because it feels stuck. lol
But fir the most part I try not to do that.
