All, I see I have a lot of PMs backed up and I will get to them as soon as possible.  However, we were without power for almost 2 days and our basement flooded.  I spend all day yesterday sweeping water out of the basement and most of the day today cutting and taking out carpet.  I promise to be back in the next day or three.  I hope you guys didn't have any problems like mine!! --Eric

Eric, I am so sorry you are going through that.  I am in a similar situation except we had power.  Our basement flooded really bad and spent all day yesterday sucking out the water too we still have a major mess down there today. I hope everything gets better for you.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Want some help?  Bob and I'll be glad to come over and give you and Donna a hand.    You know, we're right down the road from you. We did ok with all of the rain, and so far haven't had any noticeable damage. XOXO Tracey

Thanks for the concern but we're pretty mu*****ontrol now.  We spent all day Monday sweeping water into the inside sump pump (running off my generator).   Unfortunately, the outside sump is hard-wired and I couldn't run it at all.  Just as soon as we'd get the water out of the basement, it would fill back up again.  When the power finally came back on (1.5 days later), the outside sump stopped new water from coming in and sweeping the basement out was fairly easy.  We spent most of Tuesday cutting out our carpeting and hauling it outside.  We now have a big mound of carpet/padding in the grass.   We're approx #100 on the Serve-Pro list of people that flooded. Lord knows how many are after us???  We have our dehumidifier and fans running but I'm not sure they are doing much good.  It's starting to smell musty now.  We need the industrial strength equipment from Serve-Pro.   Cira - I'm sorry to hear you're going through this mess too.  It was bad enough having to keep our two dogs out of the way so we could work (They were a soaking wet mess!).  I can't imagine having to deal with a flooded basement and kids!!  You'll be in my thoughts.  The good news to all this is that I worked so hard at keeping the water out that when I had a chance to weigh myself yesterday I was down yet another 2 lbs!  That puts me at 203 (145 down and 7 UNDER my goal).  That's not much of a silver lining but I'll take it.
