I am new and Surgery Date is Coming
Hi Theresamarie - I'm a Teresa Lynn, but everyone here calls me Tia. Welcome to the Maryland Board, we're so glad you joined us!! This is an awesome group of people - full of information, some of it's even useful, too, smart-a$$ answers (that would be my specialty), friendship and support. In addition to the meetings everyone talked about, we also try to host some board get-togethers every couple of weeks. There was supposed to be a hike to Catoctin this past weekend, but the weather cancelled that. We're also planning a picnic for probably late September, so we don't have to deal with extreme heat.
So please, join us often. I'm sure you're excited, scared and nervous about your upcoming surgery. It's all normal, so don't fret. Anything we can do, just let us know.

The Glen Burnie support group will be June 3rd and there is a support group meeting in the Crofton Library this Thursday.

That girl is going to get hammered on the main forum! I had a hard time with a few about a month ago that Darla told me to go and help a newly pregnant girl that posted.
I posted to the girl. I hope she doesn't get too bummed out with the nasty memebers over there.

They had already started when I was there: asking her why she would do such a thing. It's all in gods plan, but I thought since you had been so successful and delivered such a healthy beautiful baby and I know you always have caring words, she may find some peace in what you have to tell her. I only go there once in a while and post once in a blue moon. They are very mean over there. lol

Hi TheresaMarie! Welcome to the MD Forum! You're surgery is coming up soon and there's really no need to be nervous although you can't help being nervous.....I was the same way LOL. Now I'm 5 days post op and my 3rd day going to the gym to walk on the treadmill! I feel pretty good and haven't taken any pain medication since the day after surgery! You're going to be just fine :)
