Going away luncheon for Cira & Gino!!!

Hey everybody!! Cira & Gino and their brood have bought a beautiful new home in Charlestown, West Virginia - and there's enough room for all of US!!!!! While I'm really happy for them, this means they're leaving us!!! WAAAAHHHH!!! Knowing that a lot of people will want to say goodbye, I asked them to pick a restaurant and a date. They can only do the weekend of their settlement, and Cira picked Timbuktu in Hanover. Somehow, I suspect Gino didn't have a say in this!!! LOL!!! So, Sunday, May 25, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Timbuktu Restaurant, www.timbukturestaurant.com. Yes, I realize it's Memorial Day weekend, so if you can't make it, we understand. Everyone will pay for their own meal and pitch in a bit to cover the cost of Cira and Gino's meals. PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD - BRING CASH!!!!!!!!!! The last time we did this, it took poor Terry M. forever to figure things out because EVERYONE brought credit cards. So, bring cash - small bills, too!!!! It'll just make things SO much easier!!! Okay, so I need to know by that Friday, May 23 by 2:00 p.m. Spouses and (well-behaved) children are welcome!!! Let's give a big send-off to them so they know how much we absolutely love them and value their friendship and support on and off of here!! Thanks, Tia

Boo hoo! I can't do it that day. I will have to make a special date with Cira. May 25th is my mother's 80th birthday. I will be in western maryland.

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
