3 THINGS FOR FRIDAY!!!

Well, I know all of YOU are happy it's Friday, but for me, it just means back to work on Monday.  Sigh.  If I just didn't need to eat and put gas in my car!!!! Anyway, today's are: 1.  Good skin genes - This is a HUGE one!!   I was in Ulta at the Avenue yesterday (are you seeing a pattern here??) and this girl is giving a makeup demo.  She approaches me and asks if I'm interested.  I say, "No, thanks," but she follows me and says, "Oh, come on, it'll just take 10 minutes.  I'll just take your foundation off and add some color to your eyes, it'll be painless."  Um.........I'm not WEARING foundation and tell her so!!!  She says, "Get out here!!!  Cindy, come look at this lady's skin!!"  I wanted the floor to open up, particularly when I find myself surrounded by 3 women who are ooohing and aaahing over my skin, makeup and nails!!!  I am SO not into being the center of attention, it was a little disconcerting.  Of course, they want you to buy products in their, so once I escaped, I spent $50!!!!  LOL!!!!!  I have Mom to thank for the great complexion, she's 64 and not a wrinkle in sight!!!!! 2.  New friends - I've met some interesting ones lately.  Could be a fun summer!! 3.  Rain - Yes, the rain.  My car was starting to look less like a Hyundai and more like the Pollen Mobile!!! SUPPOSED to have my lunch date today with the ex.  I'd told him to contact me on Thursday and let me know, and of course, I haven't heard from him, even after I emailed him.  Sigh.  Does he remember WHY he's an ex now?   Have a great weekend and to all you Moms, pseudo-Moms (like me), Grandmoms, etc. - Have a wonderful Mother's Day.  I know Cira will agree with me when I say, "Even when she drives you crazy (my Mom has a Master's in this!!), appreciate her and bring her flowers while she's still here, because she won't appreciate them once she's gone!" Tia

Tia:  You just bummed me out:  I have to wear foundation everyday, if I could I'd put it on before I wake up (LOL).  Anyway here are my 3 things:  1.  Had to pick up donuts for the office this morning - and these are the best donuts you'll ever taste (better than any old Krispy Kreme) - and I didn't even sneak one in the car before I got to work.   2.  It's Friday and I've only got 11 more days until I join the other team.  3.  My mom (in light of mother's day) - she brings me joy.

Sorry Lisa!!  LOL!! Actually, from about May to October, I go foundation free.  But you'd NEVER see me without eye makeup!!  Scarrrrrrrrrry!!!  LOL!!! Good for you for backing away from the donuts!!  I find that now, I can't stand the smell of the grease!! 11 days is gonna fly!!!! Have a great weekend!! Tia

1. IT IS FRIDAY! WOOT! 2. This Sunday is Mother's Day and my Happy Birthday. 3. It is raining and Lord knows we need the rain, I guess? mmmmmm 4. Happy for my good friends, you know who you are and you know who you are not! 5. Today is going to be another good effort of a good protein day.  I have already had 27 grams and counting.

6. Excited about my trip tomorrow to DC with my little princess.

Well lets see: 1)MY STIMULUS PAYMENT has finally hit the bank....lol  I'm sooooooooooooooo happy. 2)Getting my hair highlighted at 3 pm.  Nails and Toes done tomorrow. 3)The best is that its the WEEKEND!!!!

Let's see - thank god its friday!  1) I made it thru 4 days without the man who makes me crazy.  Hopefully by the time he returns from Hawaii in 8 more days, I'll be completely over him (one can hope).  He hasn't called and I think if he does at this point I may not pick up the phone - yeah - getting stronger! 2)Kenny Chesney concert tomorrow - everyone pray the rain stops by then.  3)The scale is my friend today.  Can you believe I bought a pair of 6 petite pants that fit!  omg - I haven't been this size since college (and that was a long time ago).  Now, grant it, the 8's are more comfortable at this point, but I actually fit into a 6 that I just had to buy. 4)My daughter is coming home from college this weekend to go to the concert with me and take me to dinner on Sunday.  I really miss her and it will be great to spend time together.  (Now ask me in a few weeks and I know she'll be driving me crazy being home for the summer and staying out every night till 3am. )  Kristen, have a wonderful birthday.  To all the mothers out there - have a great day!  Tia, good luck with lunch today, I'm anxious to read about it.  Don't be too disappointed if he doesn't follow through.  As we have learned, we need to set our expectations low, low, low!  Karen
