XPost: Story for Kristen
Here's the story I promised Kristen and some of the girls on Tuesday...so I was at this psychiatric conference on Monday and I see this short, kinda a little handsome, older Spanish guy who keeps smiling at me, making stupid conversation, flirting and giving me the eye. So, when we all start grouping up for lunch (to make it easier on the hotel restaurant) he asks to lunch with me. Sure I says, as we talk he mentions his impending divorce (yeah right 
) all the while he's flirting like mad and the glare off his wedding ring is blinding me. So he wants to have a drink after, I need to wake up before I drive home so I say okay, as we drink I mention my habit of calling people out on their B.S. and he says, "So what's my B.S.?" So I said to him, "Frankly I think the only 'impending divorce' exists in your head and your wife has no idea about it, that's why you still have your wedding ring on and are trying to get me into bed when you need to go home to your wife." "Touche" he says and then basically admits I'm right. So we talk for about an hour and he walks me to my car where he asks "May I kiss you?" as he's going in for the kiss, essentially giving me no time to decide one way or the other or avoid it and surprising the heck out of me. So then he puts his hands around my waist and pulls me into him and so help me god all I can think in my mind is "Woo-hoo, someone can fit their hands (instead of arms) around my waist!" Why do guys do this crap? Sigh, not the one I must admit that I would mind getting a kiss from at the moment....so do I have a neon sign on my forehead that says, "I'm insecure and I can keep a secret, philanderer's welcome!" Or maybe it's the fat girl syndrome, who knows.
