Kaiser pts. in Maryland...
I don't have Kaiser, but I do have a friend and my mother has Kaiser. My friend tried to get through their approval process several years ago and was turned down. I'm pretty sure that she will have to go to Silver Spring (Connecticut Avenue). But I know you always have to see a Kaiser doctor at a Kaiser facility. Don't know if any of this helps?

I know they also have a facility in Annapolis, but don't know if they have the specialists there. I think it depends on your type of plan where you can go to get services. You may want to have them just call the Kaiser number. Metro area: (301) 468-6000
Outside metro area: 1-800-777-7902 (toll free)

I had/and still have Kaiser. I had my surgery April 5, 2007. I had mine in DC with Dr.Lee and I live in Baltimore. Now, they are allowing patients to have surgeons in Baltimore, I think out of GBMC. Your primary care need to send you to a nutrionist and you'll have to go through 6 months with her and the nutrionist will write your submission for surgery, then once you are approved they will assign you a surgeon. Hope this helps, let me know if you need more info!
