Tuesday's 3 Things!

Morning all - Today, I'm grateful for: 1.  My sweet Kaity - Although I'm always immensely grateful for and proud of them both, it's become such a joy (and a pain!) to watch Kaity blossom in her first year of middle school.  For the 3rd qtr. in a row, Kaity brought home straight A's yesterday!!!!  She made some fantastic plays last night at softball and as we were leaving the field, after they, as a group, congratulate the other team, she thanked each girl she passed and said, "Good game!" even though Kaity's team won 16-6.  She also has recognized that thanks in part to genetics, she will struggle with her weight, and works out faithfully at the gym 4 nights a week!  This child just brings such joy to my life, I couldn't love her any more had I birthed her!!!  I try really hard to be a good role model for her; she helps keep me on the straight and narrow and the thought of how she looks up to me prevents me from doing stupid things sometimes!!! LOL!  So I declare 2008, The Year of Kaity!!!   2.  Rita's S/F Tangerine Italian Ice - OMG!!!  Heaven in a cup!  Soooooooo good!!!  Better than most men I've recently encountered!!!  LOL!!! 3.  Second chances - Sometimes, life gives them to you, and sometimes, you have to make them yourself.  I'm having lunch with an ex on Friday, should be interesting, and I'll keep you posted!! Today I'm grateful for: 1.  My pre-op appointment with the plastic surgeon!  I am excited and scared but I am finally going to get rid of some of this skin and it's happening real soon, May 28th. 2.  2 hour workout at the gym last night, I never dreamed I would being doing the things I am able to do at the gym and I feel wonderful!!! 3.  It's Tuesday and I am still making good food choices!!! My head still wants crap though!! Have a great day!! Stephanie

Nope, it doesn't.  And I say that at almost 3 years post-op.  I would've gladly paid extra had they operated on my head. T.

Hi Steph! I'll be so excited to hear all about your appt with the ps!!!  That IS exciting and I'm sure scary, too, but you'll do great and as always, we're right there with you! I get cleared to start back to the gym in about two weeks - I'm so excited!!! Don't worry, my mind STILL wants crap!! Tia

Hey Tia  Gosh, lets see, what am I thankful for today.....hmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!  Well I'm 1) thankful I got a solid night of sleep in my comfortable bed .  2)  I'm thankful that I don't have no traveling to do this week for work because gas is killing me.  3) My youngest is going to Grandma's on Thursday till Saturday and I will be able to run wild....lol  not really...lol Teri

Tuesday's 3 things:  1.  I had my pre-op appointment with my surgeon yesterday and it's a go.    2.  Peace and quiet (too long to explain here).  3.  Today is day 1 of my liquid diet and I haven't bit anyone's head off yet.

i got really excited about the rita's sf water ice but went to their website and it has sugar alcohols. that does things to me that i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy! on a lighter note, here are my 3 things. 1. that i might actually get a job that i will enjoy much more than the one i have and save on gas too! 2. that i swam yesterday and will play softball today  3. i wanted to eat bad things yesterday but i kept my cool and didn't indulge. i also drank alot of water.

I usually avoid the sugar alcohols, too, and find that I actually do better with a little real stuff as opposed to the s/f - this was worth it, though! Tia
