The good and the bad..... The good I'm 2 pounds below goal YAY!!!!!  3 more to go! The bad Since I'm off my pain meds, I just wanna cry all the time.  I can't walk without searing pain from my knees.  My mobility is severely reduced and my flexibility is gone.  I just wanna curl up into a ball. the bad right now outweighs the good hence the sad face on the post! ((((Aaron)))))  Awww, poor guy, sending you some hugs!!!   That's great on the 2 pounds!!!  But I'm so sorry to hear you're in pain.  Besides the pain meds, does ANYTHING give you any relief - ice, heat, ointments, etc.?  I know this must be horrible for you, but TRY to look at it as a means to an end.  It'll all be over soon, and hopefully, the knee pain will become a permanent part of your past. Wish there was something I could do!! Just a couple more days, hang in there.   Tia

The only thing that will make the pain go away is to just lay down and not bend my knees and don't put any weight on them.  However I have to increase my activity level if I wanna get this weight off so I'm kinda stuck and I just barrel through the pain.  I just moved into a new townhouse and I just got my new washer and dryer delivered today so I'm having to go up and down the stairs so i can do the laundry.  I'll live I guess :)  *HUGE BEAR HUGS*

Thanks Kristen :)  yeah I had been at this weight before during my 6 months of seeing the dietician...however quitting smoking and the holidays put the weight back on......so now I'm back to my lowest again since seeing the dietician :)  I started at 497 from the initial orientation.....down to 438 from the dietician...back up to 467 from the holidays and quitting smoking and now back down to 438 from the liquid diet and finally being able to get out and walk with the weather being nice. :)

Aaron, I am so glad you are doing great with the weight loss! I am sorry you are in so much pain.  But soon you will be feeling better. But you can take tylenol for now right?

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Cira, I'm not sure what I can take.  Nothing that will cause stomach bleeding or anything like that.  They never told me what to take when they told me to go off the Voltaren (this is the Prep center at UMM that told me to go off the voltaren).  None of my papers tell me what I can take.  But I guess if I can stick it out a few more days, I'll be on some good pain meds LOL Aaron

Aaron, Right you have to stay from NSAIDS.  I was not allowed to take any either because when you are having surgery you have to stay away from all those.  I was aloowed to take tylenol for my pain. I have major arthritis in all my joints.   But to make sure you can call them on Monday and ask them so you can get a little bit of relief until you get your surgery. take care.

Do you trust me?  It is going to get better and it will get better a lot sooner than you think.  I was in your shoes and now I walk, jog and take Tae Kwon Do lessons.  The first 10-15 mins of my TKD class is stretching and my flexibility has improved like you wouldn't believe.  I honestly think I'll be able to do the splits (yes, like a cheerleader) in the next 6-12 months.  I can already kick a person in their head if I had too (and they stood very still - LOL).
