I have been approved!!!

I am still in state of shock. In only 6 days my insurance company (AETNA) has approved the surgery. Then I get a call from Dr. Moen's office that May is full but that they have an opening for May 7th.....As much as I want to get this done,that is just too soon for me. I have so much to do prior to this surgery. I am calling the doctor's office later on to schedule the surgery. I am so Happy, Excited and Scared.

good luck with your surgery. i went through the same thing. once you get approved, you freak out. but that is normal and giving yourself a little time will definitely help get you ready for this major change. good luck!!!

Congratulations. I was also shocked that mine was approved so quickly soon we'll both be on the loosers bench.

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!

Congrats!!!! If you do choose the May 7th, don't stress. You'd be surprised how little time this actually affects your life. I was only out of commission the days I was at the hospital. When I came home, it was pretty much business as usual. Otherwise, scheduling for June won't be at all bad, the time will just fly by for you.
