Hi Guys  So I went for my nutrition app yesterday and she suggested that I try some protein items ahead of time.  So any suggestions would be great.  I am not good with chalking tasting stuff so thats what I am worried about.  Even things  like tums kinda gag me lol.

Hi there, I buy the protein Body Fortress at Walmart and I like the Vanilla flavor the best. It is 14.00 for almost 2lb jug.   I am not good with chalky stuff either but this one is pretty good. Especially when you add some fruit to it and a little bit of vanilla extract flavor and splenda if you like it sweet. Good luck!

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

I get the vanilla too and throw it in a blender with a few strawberries and a banana then put it in small 9 oz cups and freeze them...they make great "i feel like i am eating something i shouldn't have" snacks with lots of protein.  have even thrown it in the blender with the frozen mixed fruit (raspberries, blueberries and strawberries)...yummmmm....finally one i can tolerate...good luck

Tasting before surgery is always a good thing but remember that your tastes may change after the surgery.  Pre-surgery, I was into drinking Isopure (40g of protein/bottle) and it tasted great.  After the surgery, I just couldn't drink it anymore.  That was horrible too because I had bought four cases of the stuff.   My choice for protein these days is drinking Unjury (www.unjury.com) shakes.  In reality, I don't really have to drink shakes too often anymore.  I can usually get all my protein in food/milk these days.  I do keep Unjury (both chocolate and vanilla) at work and home for those occassions that I need the extra protein.
