Morning all - Had to get up extra early this a.m. so I could have my "last supper" so to speak.  I understand the "nothing to eat or drink" rule before procedures, but it already bites!!!  How come, when you CAN'T have it, that's when you wan****er??  Oh, well, I'll survive!!! My 3 things for today are: 1.  Books - I'm looking forward to finally catching up on some reading while I'm off for the next week and a half. 2.  Flowers - DELIVERED!!  I had a beautiful arrangement delivered last week from my guys at work for Administrative Professional's Day.  It had two cards, on one side, the card said, "Thanks for everything," and they signed it, and then they told me to spin the arrangement around, and there was another card on the back that said, "Get well soon!"  Cheap buggers!!!  LOL!!!!  Pretty funny, though. 3.  Sleep - I had a really long day yesterday, I was at work from 7:30 a.m. until 10 p.m., so I have the luxury of going back to sleep for a while since we're not leaving until 12!!!  WOO-HOO!!! Hope everyone has a great day! Tia

1.   The sun is shining again!   2.   It is another day closer to vacation! 3.   That my project is moving along .. slowly but coming along!!!

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

My 3 things for today:  1)Sun, sun and more sun.  2) Good friends.  3) I've already survived the crappy divorce that I see my friends going thru right now.  Not a pleasant thing but thank god it's over.  I just wish they could understand that this too shall pass.

As for #1 ,I started doing the same when I wasnewly post-op. I re-read all the Harry Potter so I could finally read #6 & 7 that I had been putting off for a few years now. I'm just starting #7 now. As for #2, LOL, they might be cheap, but very creative. They get props for that. #3, definitely keep up on your rest, so you can heal fast, and enjoy the new and improved and pain free you that I hope you will be. I cen relate the the last supper thing. I took the 24 hour before surgery rule very literally, and woke up extra early the day before my surgery, and had a bowl of cereal before I started the clear liquid diet.

Hugs!

I'm a day late - but yesterday was wonderful! 1.  My daughter is in special education (mild global delays) and she participated in the Special Olympics with her class yesterday. She took the silver in the softball throw, bronze in the 50 yard dash, and 5th place ribbon in the long jump. God lover her-she was on cloud 9!!! 2.  I went to middle school orientation for my son last night - and didn't cry once!!!   3.  The weather held out for me to mow and make my yard pretty between the 2 events!  I love spring, my grass looks great, and my dogwood is in bloom.
