Questions about Dr. Scott Bovard

hi there.... I am in NC where Dr. Bovard has hung his surgery sign up.  My therapist and he are working together (well, not in the same office but together for one goal). 

I know he was in Maryland and has a few testimonials posted on here from patients.  I was wondering what others might have to say about him..... good or bad.....

Do you have a few hours???   LOL!!!!  Scott was my original surgeon until he left me (and the practice here in Maryland).  I was devastated but thought I would still be able to have him as my surgeon since he was planning on relocating nearby.  He tells me he's headed for NC and I thought, "No matter how much I want him to do my surgery, I can't communte to NC!"   He referred me to my current surgeon and I am grateful.  But he would have been my choice had I been able to get to him.  I was able to lose 21 pounds the first month after my inital meeting with him.  He was happier than I was (I didn't realize that I had lost that much!)  His manner is very supportive and compassionate about the patient succeeding with their new life style.  I was in the hospital in October for sepsis and all of the nurses on my floor had nothing but good things to say about him.  One of the nurses had undergone bariatric surgery with him and was very ahppy with her experience.  If you would like to talk to me, I would be happy to hear from you.  PM me and I'll give you my cell number (Verizon) or give me your's and I'll call you.  I actually spoke with his wife a few weeks ago when I found where he was in NC.  I think you will be completely happy with your decision to have him do your surgery. Good luck!  Deb

It is great to read another awesome review for him.   I am thankful then he did decide to move down here..... lucky for me... sorry for those in MD who will miss him. Thanks Deb for the input..... soothes my mind and fears.  **I may PM ya for that call at some point, I'm definitely a worry wart personality.

Hey Monika !  I missed him by about 6 months myself...my sister works with a girl (an R.N) who used Bovard and that is the reason my interest was piqued in the 1st place because she said he was GREAT!! When I finally started researching he was gone and Deb (k9krazzi) filled me on on the whole story!! You are a lucky gal, I believe he would come highly recommended from Maryland!!   Alicia
