i haven't figured out how to find consignment shops around where I live. I am in Edgewood. Anyone have suggestions, even if it's not exactly in Harford county? Thanks.

Hey Nicole - Have you tried yellowpages.com?  I think they have a search feature where you can type in the sort of business you're looking for, so just type in consignment shop.  You might also want to try thrift stores. HTH, Tia

Maybe Belair Chamber of Commerce...each town has an office that is in charge of "promoting" that city/town to tourists and Belair is that kind of town. Maybe someone in that office might have a lead for you....not sure..but it's only a phone call..   Alicia

There is a Goodwill on Route 1 on the opposite side of the street from the mall and a little ways down.  I think there is also one in Aberdeen.  I haven't been in either of them, so I can't say what kind of quality their stuff is. For cheap clothes, I go to Walmart.  As much as I hate the store, their clothes are cheap.

Hey Nicole....try the Village Thrift Store right off 40. I lived in that store when I was dropping sizes. I found tons of stuff with the tags still on it. Speaking of which I should go back soon. I think there is one in Bel Air too but never been so not sure the name.

Don't discount the sales at Target and Sears too.  I got $26 shirts on sale 50% off at Sears last weekend.  I've got a big chest (and am Lap Band) so i figured I'd be in them long enough to get use out of them at $13 a piece.  There are also some consignment shops on route 1 down in Benson/Fallston and some around the route 165/23 area.  One is on 165 on the right near North Harford Liquors and Subway, going south from 23 (Keene Dodge), and there is one north of Keene Dodge on the right going north (just before the fire dept.)

I wasn't sure if anyone told you or not, but there is the Edgewood Thrift Store on Rt. 40, I am frequent shopper there since I have been on the loser's bench.  I also go to the Goodwill in Belair and there is one in Aberdeen.  If you go on the last saturday of the month to these Goodwills all of the clothes are 50% off, that way you can buy twice as much.  I was just there last week and the selection is pretty good and you can't beat the prices.  Good luck with your search!
