Pole Dancing Exercise Class?

Okay, one of my itty-bitty stick friends goes to a "pole dancing exercise class" which she says is awesome.  I've been debating it for over a week now, I'd really like to go but I still feel too fat for stuff like that.  I can't tell if I'm being realistic or if it's a low self esteem thing.  She says there are women of all sizes/ages there and that I should go for it, I'm about a size 14 at this point and I keep telling her "25 more pounds and I'll think about it".  So my survey question is this, has anyone tried anything like this and what size where you comfortable doing so?

I'm also a 14. I'd love to be able to take a class like that. I really want to take a belly dancing class. No way will I ever show my scarred up belly anywhere. I love to dance and I think this is the best excercise. I have seen larger women than we are takign these classes. Go for it!

One of the nursing assistants where I work was talking about these classes.  She said they were great, and she was not a little girl.  So, I figure if you are confident with yourself, go for it!

I have heard about these classes for a while and would love to take one.  But I am also in the size 14 range and have also said "25 more pounds".  My tiny-heiny-butt-floss wearing neighbor takes the class - Hey - I wonder if they offer it and bar anyone smaller than an 8? ;) Hey Eric, once I get signed up, please do come along, but bring 5's, not 1's! :)

Size 14!! I wish! You should totally do it. I think the classes are strictly women allowed in most places, and I have heard they are really fun &  a great work out. My friend did it and she said everyone was super supportive. Go HAVE FUN girl!!!

Go for it, your size does not matter.   Have a great time.
