Eastern Shore vs. Baltimore

Hi there.  My GF lives on the Eastern Shore and she went to GBMC for her surgery and for her fills. (I'm also banded)  That additional fee is rediculous.  I can put you in touch with Joanna if you like for more information.  As far as maintenance with the doc.  You will prob be seen 2 weeks post op and then a month later at 6 weeks for a first fill.  After that you'll return a month later for a second fill.  After that it will be based on weight loss and hunger.  You could go monthly until you reach a good restriction level or you could go months in between before needing one. 

Hey there Alicia.  I don't know about other locations, but I had my open RNY done at Johns Hopkins Bayview by Dr. Thomas Magnuson.  I actually live in western MD but the follow ups and such worked out great.  Also, if I remember correctly, there were no above and beyond fees for me at all.  I love Dr. Magnuson and the staff there at Bayview.  I just "visited" with them again recently to have an incisional hernia repair.  They're great!  Hope this helps.
