Unimaginable Place In Life Two Years Post Op
Hi!
I am two years post op yesterday so it was time to take note on how much my life has changed since having had my gastric bypass with Dr. Fullum. I am SO blessed to have had this surgery and never could have imagined how much my life has changed physically and emotionally since losing 130lbs. I continue to work hard at keeping the weight off (it isn't easy at times!), still make mistakes, however, it is a challenge that I happily accept!
I wanted to share this story about me and my family that was recently published in the Annapolis Capital Gazette. Having gone back and forth about doing so I shared my weight loss story with the reporter because I felt it was an important piece of the puzzle to having entered the contest. Since the story ran I have been out and about and have had other gastric bypass patients come up to me and share there weight loss stories and how the article inspired them to keep working, moving, and reaching towards their goals. Little did they know that they were inspiring me and I continue to need inspiration and motivation at 2 years post op. A woman even booked me for this August to photograph her for her one year post/op photo as a celebration for her success! When the first stranger shared their story with me I knew then that telling the reporter my story was worth it.
Anyhow, below is the link to the story online.

I have been lurking here since before having my surgery and everyone here has inspired me and continue to do so. This opportunity for me seemed like a good time for me to give something back.
Weight loss surgery will change your life in ways you NEVER imagined as most of us on this board have already experienced and those just beginning their journey will. My faith wavers and has wavered over the past couple of years, however, there always seems to be something or someone that will come into my life and inspire me to continue striving to keep all of my ducks in a row to stay healthy and embrace the life I now have.
Would anyone else like to share what keeps you inspired and motivated when things aren't going so well? I would love to know and thanks!
Hugs,
Tracy
