What a difference a few days makes
To all of my new OH friends. The day is here! I got approval from my insurance company and a surgery date. May 20th. It was only about 10 days ago that I posted my frustration at having to wait so long. AMAZING! I feel like I was just asked out to the prom. (Of course I wasn't asked to the prom, but can imagine this is the feeling.) I will count down my days by watching, listening and enjoying my OH friends. And ~ I promise all of you that I will continue to enjoying and posting on OH after my surgery. I often wonder what happens to some of the people that never post after their scheduled surgery date. Is it that something happened? or their life is just so enjoyable that they don't feel the need to come back and let us know how everything went?
Thanks in advance for all your help and well wishes.

WOO-HOO!!! Lisa, that's fantastic!!
I think you're right in part about post-ops enjoying life so much they don't have time to post. Maybe others haven't been as successful and, for whatever reason, are embarrassed. Either way, you know we want you to stay!
Good luck! The time is going to literally fly and it'll be May 20 before you know it.
Tia
Congratulations Lisa!!!! I am so happy for you. May 20th will get here in no time.
I totally agree with Tia. I can't wait to follow your journey.
Best wishes and keep us posted.

Hi Lisa.
Congratulations! I am so excited for you. May 20th will be here very soon. I do think that some people get so busy with their lives that they just don't have time to post. I try to remind myself how helpful others insight was to me both pre and early days post-op. So I try to get on here from time to time and keep in touch. My profile is very out of date, mostly because I do not have time to update it. But I have it on my to-do list and hope that soon I'll at least get some things updated. I also think that some people do not reach the level of success they would have liked and so might get embarrassed or feel that they have failed and so they quit posting. For me, the support of this group and my hospital's support group have helped me succeed thus far. Y'all also keep me motivated to stick with it and not let old habits creep back in. It is a life change and so for life I need to be diligent about what I eat and watch the scale and stick with the exercise and get/give support regularly.
Again, congratulations!
Hugs, Robin
