Hey all - Today, I'm grateful for: 1.  Mashed cauliflower - Hey, don't knock it, it's a great sub for mashed potatoes, and my recipe will knock your socks off.  Besides, since I can't eat much right now, that was breakfast!! 2.  My bosses - They are two great men.  Called me at home last night to check on me and told me to just take care of myself and take the time I need (like I haven't already done that).  I feel bad for all the time I've taken, but I'll make it up to them after my health is back on track.  It's sooooo nice to work for real human beings after the last droid, or is that roid, that I worked for. 3.  School closing early - Balto. Co. schools are closing 3 hours early today, so we'll do something fun with KB.  Maybe the playground, maybe the movies, something not too taxing, and hopefully, it'll involve movie popcorn!!!!! Have a great day and thanks again for the root canal wishes!!  Still sore, still swollen, but I can tell the meds are working!! Tia

Good Morning Tia!  How are you feeling today?  Has the pain gone away?  Taking your meds...lol  Hope your feeling better.  Ok, so the 3 things I'm grateful for today:  1.  Of course, its Friday and the weather is supposed to be beautiful, 83 is what I heard.  2.  I'm one day closer to my 1st appt with Dr. Moein on Monday at 2 pm.  3. My biggest thing that I'm grateful for today is the my youngest daughter gets to see her father tomorrow.  She is 5 now, and has been to his house like 3 times in her whole life.  It breaks my heart.  I'm really hoping that all goes smooth!   T

Tia, I feel for you! I had one in September, I remember my experience is usually horrible before the root cannal and by the time I do that all the infection has been already minimized or eliminated by pain killers and antibiotics, but it is so much sterss so I really hope you fell better, believe it or not the one I just did in last September, crown was so horribly placed that it detached twice and broke the third tiem, so now I am without the crown, my dentist had called lst week the day of my WLS surgery to contact him, lol!!! I have to go back next week to reattach the new crown, hope this one goes well. So take it easy and hope it heals soon, I thinki today is a wonderful day for playground, as a matter of fact maybe I would take Ava to the park in the afternoon Take Care, Ellie

Thanks, Ellie!!!!  I've never had a root canal involving an infected tooth, and I hope to God I never do again!!!  OMG!!  It's a good thing I was in the chair, because I honestly thought I'd pass out or throw up or both from the pain.

Actually, in my past experience, the crown prep was always worse than the root canal.  In fact, I find cleanings generally to be more unpleasant than root canals!!!

We ended up not doing the playground.  We went to 5 Below, Walmart, Panera for lunch, Rita's for ice cream and then KB both got upset tummies, I think from the ice cream, so after a quick stop at the grocery store, we came on home.  But it's nice to have the house opened up to the beautiful weather. Have a great weekend! Tia

oMG, Tia, it is as if it is my route! I have to constantly (as late as yesterday) take my son to Panera since it is next to his school and he LOVES soups and sandwitches. Also, he has become in love with 5 below and we usually make a trip to the Aspen Hill one at least once a week. Lately he has this cool math teacher whom compares the gadgets and stuff he buys, so half of the time we go to buy stuff for miss Katey!!! Lol, that was funny Hope you feel better Ellie

That's too funny, Ellie!!!!  I LOVE Panera, too - the stuff is just so much fresher than fast food.  Actually, I rarely, if ever, do fast food anymore, but I'll confess to giving in to the occasional craving for a cheeseburger from McD's.  Don't know why I can't eat regular, all-beef burgers, but I can eat that garbage!!!  I had the chicken noodle soup from Panera - awesome!! As for 5 Below, I love it myself, I've gotten some cool stuff there!!  Especially at Christmas!! Actually, tonight, I'm feeling a LOT better - just hoping it continues!!!   Tia
