A question about the EGD

for those of you who had to have an EGD in your process.  I just had my EGD today and I was wondering if it was normal for you to wake up and be completely and totally alert half way through the procedure?  That's what happened to me today.  It totally freaked me out  LOL  let me know if I'm overreacting please because it hurt and I ended up vomiting at the end.

Hmm...I cant say that would be normal..lol...I had it done and didnt wake up until I got back to my room. (I was in the hospital for pancreatitis at the time)

I am sorry you experienced that. It has happened to a few people. It all depends on the type of medication they use to put you to sleep. I remember they woke me up and I was annoyed because I was being awake in the middle of a nice dream. I hope you are feeling better now.
