Howdy all!

Hi all!  My name is Aaron and I currently live in Frederick (moving to Hagerstown in a week or so) and I am scheduled to have RNY on May 8th :)  I just got my approval papers today from the insurance company and I'm really happy about that.  My friend smilesy helped me get on here and thought I would give y'all a shout :)  I hope I'm doing this right :)

Welcome to OH and good luck on May 8th. I am new here myself, but everyone here is great and will be very helpful. 

Oh you just had yours done :)  congratulations!  I'm really anxious to get mine done.  I'm just very glad and relieved that I got my approval from the insurance company on the first try.  I'm very lucky and with me being 457 pounds had something to do with it too LOL :)  So how do you feel?  Are you alright?

Aaron,  Hiya!  Have you ever been to a Carroll County Support group meeting??  I am sure I have met you before, but I could be wrong.  I am also in Frederick.   Best of luck to you. Kim

Hi Kim!  As a matter of fact I have been to the Carroll County support group....I think I remember meeting you there :)  I think I sat beside you (you were at the end of the table and I was to your right).  I'm going to try to go tomorrow after my EGD.

Hello Aaron and welcome to the MD forum.  Wow your surgery date is coming up soon.  I bet you are excited!  I peeked at your profile when I saw you were in Frederick like me.  I saw your photo, and my goodness you have gorgeous blue eyes. This is a great group of people here, very supportive and good natured.  Congratulations on receiving your insurance approval! 

thank you so very much :)  I do feel very welcome here and I hope to share my experiences with as much candor as I can so some people who have yet to go through it can know what all I have had to do for my surgeon :)  I tell ya when I got that letter in the mail yesterday from the insurance company, I jumped up and hollered LOL  Then promptly called my parents because they were worried.

Hey there, I see you are going to be using the same doc as me (Kligman).  I am 6 monthes out and have no problem talking to/sharing my experiances with newbies.  Drop me an email if you have any specific questions or just need a "reassurance chat" and I hope you will stop by the support group, next one is May 14th at the hospital, 3rd floor round room.  Hope to see you there!
