I am new... again

i joined the forum about two years ago so that i could learn more about the medical weight loss programs available today. at that time, i chose to try one more program and see what happened, vowing to really try to stick with it this time. same song, different day. i lost approximately 20 pounds and summer ended and so did my diet. and i did this twice! so, now i'm back. only this time, i have already attended dr. von rueden's seminar and i have my first consultation tomorrow. i'm very nervous about my insurance company though. in spite of having a bmi of over 45, my medical problems are not severe... yet. i've had hip and foot pain in the past and swelling around my ankles, but my insurance company is not aware of the latter. my blood sugar is creeping up quickly (both parents are diabetic and had gestational diabetes three times), but i've never been diagnosed with diabetes. i am just praying that the insurance company realizes this is my way of preventing all of the medical conditions that run rampant in my mostly obese lineage. two years ago, i lost a morbidly obese sister to heart failure. i just hope they understand that this is my attempt to prevent my family from having to go through that again.
in any event, i'm here to stay for awhile this time. i look forward to getting to know some of you in this forum! i'll add a photo when i figure out how to do it.
Welcome back to the boards! I am so glad that you are going to see Dr. Von Reuden tomorrow. I had my 1 year appointment with him on the 9th and he is awesome. He is quiet but he knows his stuff and cares about his patients. I want to wish you nothing but success throughout this journey. I pray that your insurance company approves you quickly. I can't wait to get to know you more.
I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
