I am new to OH and look forward to all the support and new friends.  I have one more month of supervised nutritionist to go through before everything gets submitted to the insurance company. This waiting game is killing me.

Welcome to OH! I can certainly understand how you feel. Patience has never been one of my virtues.. it sounds like you are well along your way to approval though. That month will fly by in no time!

Welcome to the Maryland Board!!  You'll find that we're a great, supportive group of people, always willing to talk and help with on and off topic subjects!!!   I sympathize with your journey and how it seems to take a long time, but I promise, the time will fly.  My doc used to be partnered with your doc, and my dealing with Dr. Moen have been nothing less than great!  And he's a piece of eye candy, too!!! Good luck, Teresa (Tia)

Thank you so much for writing back.  I very much enjoy reading through this website and learnign about others experiences. I met Dr. Von Ruden once. He was present at my first support groud. He seemed very nice.  As for Dr. Moen, he has been great so far.  The only thing that seems to concern me is that the office staff seems a bit disorganized. Kathy

Kahty - As far as the office staff, you have made a great understatement!!!  When I had my surgery in 8/05, the office was still relatively small and the staff was very knowledgeable.  Since then, the practice has grown immensely and they've had a lot of staff turnovers.  I've even conveyed some of the concerns to Kathy Storm.  I know DVR worked hard to build his practice there and prided himself on providing good patient care.  I honestly don't know anything about the office staff there now. I will say, the squeaky wheel gets the grease - don't be afraid to ask questions, and document who, what, where, why - you might eventually need it!!! Tia

Oh i have been documenting everything.  I was upset after Dr. Moen did my Endoscopy I needed for the office to call my insurance company to get pre-approval for the medication, that took them 5 days. I could not believe it.  Again, this was all around the same time that Dr. VR was leaving.  I just hope they do not sit on my paperwork and submitting it to the insurance company.  That is the only thing that scares me.

Hi and welcome to OH and the MD board. This is a great place to come and learn a lot and feel good about yourself. I'm a patient of Dr. Moein's, and can't say enough great things about him. I think you've made a great choice. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. Feel free to PM me or post any questions you might have.
Hugs!
Kathy
