This week....
For me has been somewhat better! From About last Saturday, so many people have finally "noticed" that I have lost weight. It took 70 lbs for people to see it??? But I have to say while I am glad that people are seeing it, it is a little uncomfortable having all this attention. Sunday in church during fellowship (handshaking time) I had 3 people ask me how I was loosing weight. Then after the service another asked if I was sick, because I looked so frail. MMM I am still 200 lbs how is that frail? But it was funny :)
The easter candy is GONE! And so far I am doing well this week. I have reached my 1st weight goal, to weigh less then my husband. And I am quickly approaching my 2nd, to be under 200 lbs. I see the DR next week, hopefully I will achieve that by then.
I am now comfortable in my size 16's and my 18 skirts are baggy. I LOVE this part. Before this surgery I hated buying new clothes, now it is my hobby. Hubby isn't too happy about that part. LOL!
SO all in all things are pretty good.
Oh I do have one question, I have started adding more resistance and weights to my workout. I do the treadmill 3-5 days a week and weights and resistance 4 days.
I DO NOT want to look like muscle, I just want to be trim and toned. The trainer is still recommending higher weight and small reps, I think for tone and not muscle I should be doing more reps of a smaller weight. Can any of you out there help with this? Thank you.
And ladies, did you buy more than one swimsuit for the summer? I am torn between getting one now, while the selection is good. Or to wait and see what size I will be come summer. Thanks
Dianne
Congratulations, I can't wait to be where you now are; weighing less than my husband is also one of my goals.
As for the weight lifting, I have been told that unless we are basically weight training 7 days a week 8 hours a day, we are not in much danger of looking like muscle women, but I'm sure someone out there will chime in with words of wisdom.
Mary
I am so glad to read that you are doing better this week. The easter candy is finally gone from here too and I am so relieved that it is cause I was falling into temptation every minute.
You know it is funny how everyone has a different opinion on how we look. You have to let those comments roll off your shoulder. When peopole started noticing that I was losing weight they asked constantly what the heck I was doing to lose so quickly. People always had some dumb comments and there were times when i felt like saying I am doing crystal meth and that is why i am losing so much weight! lol I know bad bad but the comments were making me upset. Then the ladies that do my nails told me I look sick and I needed to stop losing weight. This is the healthiest I have looked in ages! So please just let the comments roll and say I feel and look great and that is all that matters to me!
As for your personal trainer I would definitely listened to what he or she has to say. They have been doing this for a good while and he or she will not steer you wrong. The bands are good for toning.
As for bathing suits I have not bought one in decades and I don't plan to this year either because I have major skin issues and stratch marks down my arms. So I am sorry I coulldn't advise you there.
Hugs to you girl! You are doing amazing and remember that and remind yourself constantly. I am very proud of you!
hugs,
I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
Those that mind don't matter, and those that matter don't mind.
