APPROVAL IN RECORD TIME!

As many of you know, I was to be banded in February but because of an unexpected problem, was not.  We have been going back and forth between specialists and doctors to see what is the best route for me.  Dr. Singh and my hepatologist agree that I am a great candidate for the sleeve so insurance approval papers were submitted on March 27th.  Are you ready for this?????  The approval came on MONDAY!!!!!  Yep..just three days.  I got the call yesterday to set my surgery date and was floored that they had heard back so quickly.  So, I am scheduled for May 6th.  Would love to have it sooner but the good doc's schedule is booked but if anyone cancels, they will move it up for me! I am excited  (and scared!) Deb

Hey Deb - I'm so glad things are finally coming together for you!!!  Don't worry, even if it ends up being May 6, it'll be here before you know it. Of course you're scared, it's a huge decision but one I know you won't regret.  All the emotions you're feeling are completely normal. Keep us posted and good luck! Tia

Deb, I am Sooooooooooo happy for you! I wish you the best. I was actually thinking about you last night since I also had my pre-op consultation and was worried regarding my liver. We will see what happens next week, I hae so far been 3 weeks before seurgery on all liquids and only one high protein low carb meal a day and since last week (two weeks prior) on all liquids, Best of luck to you, Ellie

I am so happy for you!!! That is so exciting. The waiting is going to be hard, I know. but you will be there before you know it. Good luck with your surgery!!!
