Alive and almost well
Greetings and salutations from one who has been absent for what seems like weeks. Just to give a quick update... I ended up having a procedure in the hospital to crush the kidney stones (8 to 10 mm ones!!!). It seemed to go okay (I love anesethia!!!)
Well, I spent a week passing them (not fun)...but sadly the pain medication made me continually nauseous and vomitty. Finally stopped that...would rather deal with pain then continual stomach aches and potty runs!!!! Well, for the past two weeks... I have still been having some issues here and there with eating (gained weight...but that is fine...YES, I SAID THAT!!!). Finally not dehydrated. Finally eating a real meal..sadly throwing most of the up.. Well, yesterday was my follow up...and as I expected...I was told.. "Well, we crushed them...but you still have a ton of them in your system..." "No wonder you have been suffering!!!" We will give you two more weeks to pass them...if not, we will redo the procedure to crush them even smaller!! I have no issue with that (except for the six tries to get a vein for the IV). All in all though, I am among the living!!!!! THANKS FOR ALL THE E-MAILS!!!!

Be yourself, nobody can tell you that you are doing it wrong!!
I am so sorry for all you have been going through. I have not been online a lot but I have been thinking of you. I am sending you good thoughts and healing energy. And women think having babies is tough... Geesh!
All kidding aside, I have a friend who passes a stone from time to time and I've seen the pain he goes through. I know it is tough. His father, on the other hand, passed them so often during his life that he built up a pain immunity (for lack of better terms) and thinks nothing of it. For your sake, I hope it doesn't come to that.
Hi Daniel,
I am so sorry you had such a rough time with those nasty stones. I hope and pray that you do better from now on and you don't suffer any more by passing those stones.
I am glad that you are doing better and on your way to recovery.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Keep us posted on how you are making out.
I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
