Primary Care Physician vs Surgeon...
OK...
I had a little issue over the weekend...I will spare you the details. But I found myself in a situation where I was not sure if I should call my PCP or my Bariatric Surgeon.
The particular problem did not seem to be related to the RNY but since it was gastro in nature...who knows?
Also note...this was NOT an emergency situation.
For those that have been at this a while...when do you go back to just relying on your PCP?
Just wondering...

I had the same problem yesterday, I am really sick. I called both and my PCP wanted me to call Dr. Gandsas. I talk to Cheryl on the phone. Just to make sure I could take Tyl. for this fever and that I did not have to take Childrens liquid motrin. I say call both to cover it does not hurt.

Hi Dave,
While I was pregnant towards the last couple of weeks. I was feeling sick when I ate. I told my OB and PCP and they both told me to call my surgeon. The good thing is that my pcp will definitely tell me to call my surgeon if he thinks it is wls related.
I think calling both if you are not sure will not hurt anything.
Big hugs to you and I hope you are feeling better.
I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
