Happy Tuesday!

Hey all - Hope everyone's well.  I am, had my endometrial biopsy yesterday in the doctor's office, and let's just say I was a little apprehensive for nothing.  Both Heather Modi and Cira had told me theirs was painful, so of course, I anticipated the worst and took some extra Tylenol, just in case.  It was pretty painless, for which I'm VERY grateful.  I guess it just goes to show that everyone is different.  This biopsy is kind of a pre-cursor before the uterine ablation can be done in late April, early May.  I'll be glad when all of this nonsense is DONE!!! Yesterday was my baby brother's bday - he turned 35!!!  I remember being upset when he was born - I wanted a sister!!  Turns out he was the best present I could've ever gotten.  He truly is my best friend in the world, and in KB, has given me two more of the best gifts I could've gotten.  My family is truly my life!!!  Anyway, we celebrated last night with cake and ice cream (yes, I had a little of each - I'm compliant, not crazy!)  And in addition to some other gifts, I gave him a t-shirt that says, "It's all fun and games until the flying monkeys attack!!"  Terry M. and Mark are in Vegas this week - I told her I expect a guest room in their Florida Keys vacation home should they hit it big!!!! So what's up with everyone?  Looks like we're getting lots of newbies - that's great!!!  This board has always been a source of great support for me, and I hope we continue the trend. Hey there; Doing good here.  Very excited because I reserved the cabin for the "Cruise to Lose" Sorry you won't be joining  us Tia Maybe next year. Anyway: Easter was knid of quiet this year.  I know what you mean about family meaning everything.  We had dinner with my sister and her family and my 8 year old niece Jessica kept everyone laughing. Glad to hear the biopsy went Ok ( especially since I susspect I will need the same thing shortly LOL)   Anyway Hope Everyone has  a great day. happy tuesday

Hey Darla - No, definitely next year on that cruise!! I hope you guys have SUCH a great time. Glad your Easter was uneventful.  Although I dearly love my family, God, sometimes there is just so MUCH drama!!!!  But it all works out!!! Yeah, the biopsy wasn't anymore uncomfortable than a Pap smear.

I am home again today, sick as a dog! BLAH  High fevers, cough, and congestion.  So I am drinking by butt off doing nothing but sleeping and sleeping. 

Jeez, Kristen, you are having too much fun!!!  If you haven't already, try Mucinex, it was a Godsend for me!! Hope you feel better!!  Popsicles help, too! Tia

Hey Tia!  I'm glad to hear you didn't experience pain with your procedure.  The shirt that you got your brother cracks me up. I'll have to try to find that. Nothing much is going on down here in my little corner of Baltimore, lol. Easter was quiet. I worked (damn retail), but since most of the normal people were at home enjoying their delicious hams, it was quiet. I'm now fighting a cold (not sure who is winning yet). Life is truly boring. I like boring! I am very excited about the cruise in September. Next one will be even more fun with more people to get into trouble with ;-). I agree, I love when new people come to the board. I remember being new, and being welcomed as a friend from my very first post. This group has gotten me through the most important time in my life, and I love you all for it. Hey Kath! I got the shirt at Target, they're always good for sarcastic shirts. I was shocked at the number of stores that were open on Easter, but since I discovered at 6 a.m. that we were out of butter, I was really glad some of the grocery stores were open!!! ICK on the cold!!  I told Kristen that Mucinex worked wonders for me when I had the flu in January - that and Delsym cough syrup.

I'm starting to think I need to go on the cruise simply to babysit you and Darla - Lord help us!!  I told her I expect full details!!!  LOL!!!

Thanks Tia!  I will look at Target for the shirt. Well, I think I'm winning the battle with the cold. Either that, or it's retreating to lull me into a false sense of security, lol. I think I will pick up some Musinex though, just to be prepared. OK, well what do I have to threaten, I mean promise, to do to get you on the ship in September?

Oh, Kath, I so wish I could.  There is a tentative plan for me to have a partial hysto and plastics in August, and I really can't see me going on a cruise that soon. However, what you can do is plan one next year so I can go on that one!!!!  I've only been on one and I loved it.  Minus the day we tried to go around a hurricane and everyone on board was sick!!  20 foot seas and 20 knot winds - YIKES!!
