I got my period!!! (I have PCOS)

Hey everyone. I was diagnosed at 19 with PCOS. I stopped having a period when I was 17 and since then, i have been on birth control pills. Today I got my period for the first time without bcp's. So I am very happy about that. I am on my way to becoming healthy for the first time in my adult life. In five weeks, I've lost 33 lbs. I think that is pretty good!!!

First off, Congrats!!! I have just the opposite problem. Mine will never stop if I dont take BCPs...

Before I decided, oh shyt, there is a problem..I went about 3 months straight having my period..talk about putting a damper on my sex life...lol...

So, Im hoping when I get the surgery and lose the weight, my body will regulate itself and I wont have to take the pills any longer...

Whooo hooo girl I am so happy for you!! Congrats on the 33 pounds that is just awesome. You are doing wonderfully. Now becareful you might get a surprise if you are not careful enough. lol hugs,
