Hi all.  I'm Sherry from Ohio and I will be moving in a couple of months and will be working at PAX River Naval Air Station (near Lexington Park, MD).  People on the Ohio forum said I should ask your opinion on a great bariatric doctor that I can see to continue with my lap band fills. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Sherry, Lexington Park is sort-of in no-mans land ;-)  I go to a doctor in Catonsville MD but that would probably be quite a hike for you.  Hopefully some of the Washington DC people will pipe in with their docs - that may be closer.  You also may be close to some Virginia sites.    When are you moving?

Hi Sherry, Yes Lexington Park is a good hour from the big city :>)  you will find that most of us drive to Baltimore which is about  an hour to an hour and a half away.  I used to live in Lexington Park but now live right across the bridge in Calvert (10 miles from Lexington Park) and my husband who is retired Navy works at Pax River, neither of us are from here but we love it here and hope that you like it also.  If I can help you with anything please let me know, I know how it is to move to a strange place and not know anything about it.  Take Care and welcome!!! Hi Sherry - Unfortunately, I'm nowhere near Lexington Park, but I wanted to welcome you in advance to Maryland and the Maryland Board. Please feel free to chime in any time with questions, concerns and suggestions.  Also, we try to get together informally every 4-6 weeks, and you and your family will certainly be welcome!!! Take care, Teresa (Tia)

Hi, thanks for the responses.  I should be there June 1 if all goes okay with the transfer.  I'm a civilian moving from Wright-Patterson AFB Ohio to PAX.  It looks like I will have to drive 1.5 hours to find a good doctor from what I've seen/heard.  All the doctors you have were on my list to check out so that's a good thing! I appreciate the warm welcome from everyone.  I look forward to chatting with you all!

Hi Sherry.  Yes...Lexington Park is quite a hike from anything.  I go to Dr. Brody in Washington, DC.  I live in Waldorf.  You may want to check with his office regarding your fills.  Good luck!!!!

Hello Sherry.  Yes, I have family in Lexington Park, MD.  I really like my doctor, but it would be a two hour drive for you.  I'm not aware of anyone in Lexington Park to help you.  Good luck on your search.  In the meantime if you want a name of the doctor... Dr. Barry Greene in Rockville Maryland.
